[4] The most outstanding things about this movie are Patsy Kensit's nipples. Neither the action sequences nor the characterisations are as good as in the original; Gibson especially has lost all his suicidal sharpness. And the plot!! South African diplomats running drugs stretches even my credulity, and when the US government fails to take any action at all, such as expelling them, said diplomats then declaring war on the Los Angeles police for no good reason, I'm afraid it's all too much.
