Tomcat Angels

Dir: Don Edmonds
Star: Daphne Cheung, Kerri Danesi, Daphne Rogers, John Kerry

From the guy who brought us Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS, this story of four female pilots was made about the time of the Gulf War, and now seems curiously dated. It also isn't enough to be interesting: not sexy enough, violent enough, bad enough, good enough or funny enough, despite a nifty trailer that promises the lot. When one gets captured by their Arab enemy (cue the racial stereotypes) and needs to be rescued, it drifts closer to familiar territory, but the very low all-round quality (shot on video, with copious stock footage of planes) will leave you aggrieved. The babes are cute enough though. For female pilots, stick to the anime series 801 TTS Airbats, which is far more fun.
